The 11th Annual Juliana's Anglers Fly Fishing School for Women

May 14 - 16, 2010

Frost Valley YMCA, Claryville, NY

A Juliana's Anglers' tradition for the last ten years, the School caters to women who have never held a fly rod as well as more experienced anglers looking to hone their skills.  Our instructors will impart the skills and confidence a new angler needs to get out on the water and fly fish.  More experienced anglers will walk away with a longer, more precise cast, a new nymphing technique, or perhaps, just the feeling that she has brushed away the cobwebs after a long winter.

School Tuition of $450 Includes:
    • Two days of practical, on-water experience with our expert instructors.  Learn wading, approach & presentation, hooking, playing, landing and releasing fish.  Experienced anglers will focus on presentation and technique.
    • Classroom sessions.  Learn essential fishing knots, basic gear and tackle know-how, stream entomology, how to read water and fly selection as well as an introduction to fly tying.  A rod-building class will also be offered to a limited number of experienced anglers ($100 additional charge).
    • Two nights lodging.  Frost Valley YMCA.  Double occupancy.
    • Meals. Includes an evening snack on Friday; breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday; and breakfast and lunch on Sunday prepared by an on-site chef.
The Juliana's Anglers Fly Fishing School is open to non-members.  If you are curious about the sport, this weekend is the perfect opportunity to 'test the waters'.  Equipment may also be available to borrow if requested in advance.

Registration Deadline:  April 30, 2010.  Enrollment is limited and payment in full is required by the deadline, so please register early to secure your spot.  Download a registration form here.  Tuition does not include flies, transportation or alcoholic beverages.
